Lightspeed Moves Filz to Lead AsiaPac Business

WPP-owned online panel provider Lightspeed has announced the promotion of Martin Filz to Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, effective January 1st, 2016. President and Global CEO David Day will temporarily take over Filz's former role as CEO for EMEA.

Martin FilzFilz has more than twenty years of experience in senior executive roles, the last four in EMEA leadership roles at Lightspeed (first MD for the GMI division, then CEO for Lightspeed). Prior to joining the company, he was MD for EMEA and APAC at Research Now, and before this he worked in MD roles for Capgemini, BlueFreeway, MD, Nielsen//NetRatings and RedSherriff.

Lightspeed says it is actively searching for a permanent replacement for the EMEA CEO role.

Day says Filz's 'strong leadership and industry expertise have played an important role in the growth and development of the firm's EMEA operations'. His transition to Asia Pacific represents 'an important step in building the company's global portfolio and providing dynamic leadership in a multichannel environment'.

Filz himself comments: 'APAC is an exciting place to be with both its diversity and exciting growth and I am delighted to be back in the region. This next chapter in Asia Pacific offers many opportunities for Lightspeed GMI to extend our leadership role for our clients and our employees'.
