Sagaci Research Opens Three New Offices in Africa

African agency Sagaci Research has expanded with the opening of three new offices, in Ivory Coast, Chad and Algeria.

Julien Garcier and Joao TerlicaFounded in 2012 by former Boston Consulting Group execs Julien Garcier and Joao Terlica, Sagaci conducts field studies in twenty countries across the continent, and publishes reports on a range of sectors, along with details about household consumption patterns. The firm now has ten offices in Africa - the other seven are in Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria and Tanzania - as well as operations in Barcelona, Hong Kong and Paris.

Abidjan, Ivory Coast is Sagaci's first base in Western francophone Africa, while the Chad office in N'Djamena is the first in Central Africa and the Algiers location is the first in the Maghreb region. Each will be staffed with a local team of researchers, led by a local manager who reports to the founders.

Garcier comments: 'We believe it is the time now to establish an on-the-ground presence in Ivory Coast, Chad and Algeria, given how active our clients are in each country. Being the first, or one of the first, international market research player active in these countries is something we are proud-of and we hope to be a trustful partner supporting the overall economic development of these countries'.
