Factual Hires Jonas as SVP of Revenue

Location data provider Factual has appointed Rob Jonas as Senior Vice President of Revenue, to manage partnerships with clients such as his former employers Google, Yahoo!, InMobi and PubMatic.

Rob JonasLos Angeles-based Factual provides location data to developers, publishers, advertisers, and enterprises. Its Geopulse Audience product helps build defined audience segments, spanning demographic, geographic, behavioral, and brand affinities; while its Geopulse Proximity tool enables advertisers to use popular location-based targeting techniques - such as geofencing and 'geoconquesting' - to deliver ads to mobile users based on where they currently are.

Jonas joins with sixteen years' data, software, and digital marketing experience. Most recently, he served as Global Chief Revenue Officer at marketing automation software firm PubMatic, where he led the firm's operations, and revenue management globally, and was responsible for launching the company into Japan, while overseeing growth in EMEA and APAC. Prior to this, he had leadership roles at InMobi, Google, Yahoo!, Overture, and Idealab.

In December, Factual raised $35m to fuel international expansion, and Jonas has been hired to lead this effort. CEO Gil Elbaz comments: 'Our existing business development and partner services teams have done an outstanding job building and deepening relationships with a large number of customers, but now we're ready for the next level and I believe Rob is the guy to get us there.
