iCharts Closes $5.5m Funding Round

Cloud-based visual analytics platform iCharts has closed a $5.5m Series B2 funding round, which it will use to expand into new 'ecosystems'.

Seymour DunckerFounded in 2007, Sunnyvale, California-based iCharts develops software to help explore, create and distribute interactive visual reports from market research and survey data. Visualizations can be created from Excel, Google docs, surveys and large data sets, or by connecting to a live database via the iCharts Analytics API.

The firm recently opened a sales office in Roseville, CA, and will soon be moving its headquarters to Mountain View. Its new funding round has been led by Software AG, with participation from new and existing institutional and private investors, and to date, the company has raised $15m, which includes a $4.3m round raised in 2014.

Seymour Duncker (pictured), co-founder and CEO of iCharts, comments: 'Our focus over the last two years has been to design our products to natively serve the needs of our customers inside ecosystems such as NetSuite and Google. That focus has paid off as demonstrated by the success we have seen inside of these platforms, which has generated significant customer interest for us to enter new ecosystems. Our product, and this funding round, will help us scale to the next level as we enter these new ecosystems.'
