MDI Launches Interactive Chat Platform

Melbourne, Australia-based mobile researcher MDI has launched an interactive chat based platform, combining qual and quant data.

James Fergusson and Pip HooperThe product will be rolled out across Australia by MDI (Mobile Digital Indaba) and its partner Stable Research, which bought a stake in it six months ago. Features include a location-enabled chat-like interface allowing surveys and interviews to be conducted via an iOS or Android app, available also in a white label version; immediate consumer response while on the move; categorisation and targeting of consumers based on their previous responses; and access to a highly active panel of over 120,000 families / individuals.

Stable Research Director, Pip Hooper calls the product 'a new and exciting tool that reflects contemporary consumer preferences and usage habits'. MDI CEO James Fergusson comments: 'Using MDI's proprietary software every interaction with an individual consumer can be seamlessly linked longitudinally - this includes surveys, diaries, qualitative chat, images and video, enabling our clients and research agency partners to optimise their return on research investment. It's a definite leap forward that acknowledges the integration of the mobile device into every facet of our lives'.
