WPP's Data Alliance Expands to Indonesia

WPP's Data Alliance has expanded its reach to Jakarta, Indonesia, to meet demand from local agencies and clients - and has appointed Wijaya Santoso to lead it.

Wijaya SantosoLaunched in 2010, The Data Alliance comprises experts from the wider WPP network of market researchers and specialists in CRM, media and digital technology, who help the group's clients assess their available data and make the best use of it. The launch in Jakarta adds to the company's existing presence in India, Sub-Saharan Africa and North America.

The business in Indonesia is being championed by GroupM's Mindshare, MediaCom, Maxus, and MEC, Kantar Worldpanel, Millward Brown and TNS, as well as OgilvyOne, Grey, JWT and Kinetic. It will be led by Country Head Santoso (pictured), who joins with more than eighteen years' experience in mobile, technology and marketing operations gained at dunnhumby firm Sociomantic Labs, XL Axiata, Affle, and the Interactive Hub, as well as running his own mobile ad company Mezzo Media.

Ranjana Singh, WPP Indonesia and Vietnam Chairperson, comments: 'Data Alliance is speaking true to our vision of 'horizontality'. It's about getting us to work together in a data driven market and essentially making our clients' lives easier, especially when it comes to leveraging data assets'.
