Sailthru Buys Mobile Messaging Specialist Carnival

In the US, marketing personalization and targeting firm Sailthru has acquired mobile specialist Carnival, whose platform allows marketers to send messages targeted by customer behavior, location and demographic data. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Neil LustigCarnival's platform is used to help brands engage and manage their mobile app audiences through personalized messages. As well as a customizable message center, the platform offers push notifications, in-app messaging and mobile analytics. Its technology will now be integrated with Sailthru's, which manages more than 1.7 billion unique worldwide customer profiles based on data from multiple channels.
