Tremor Video Opens in New Zealand

Video ad tech company Tremor Video is expanding to New Zealand, with Vice President Josh Ismin relocating to lead the new office.

Tremor's software helps clients track and optimise video ad effectiveness, and includes buyer and seller platforms allowing seamless transactions. The company says New Zealand is 'ripe for growth', given that video consumption heavily outweighs current advertising expenditure in the country.

Ismin is a co-founder of Australian-based TVN, the company Tremor acquired last year to enter the Asia Pacific market. He remains regional VP for Asia, and will be joined in NZ by Yael Milbank, who has been appointed as General Manager and will help build the team and the business. Milbank brings sixteen years' experience of operational, sales and leadership roles, most recently from TVNZ where he was General Manager of Digital Solutions. He worked previously at Trade Me as Head of Advertising, and currently sits on the Board of IAB New Zealand.

Ismin says of the opening: 'New Zealand broadcasters and publishers have been hugely underserviced by ad-tech companies focused on markets like Australia, South East Asia, and Japan. We saw this pronounced gap and decided the time is right to offer our fully server-side SSP. I look forward to leveraging our experience and momentum from recent success in Australia and greater APAC to bolster sell-side growth across the Tasman'. Greg Smith, the company's SVP, Programmatic Business Development, comments: 'We have been delighted with the success of our TVN acquisition and look forward to extending that success into the growing New Zealand market'.

The company, which appointed media researcher Ariane Gut as Head of Insights and Analytics in New York last May, is online at www.tremorvideo.com .
