Co-founder Phil Rushfirth Leaves KPMG Nunwood

In the UK, customer experience management specialist KPMG Nunwood has promoted Tim Knight to the position of Managing Director, replacing co-founder Phil Rushfirth, who has left to 'pursue new interests'.

Tim KnightThe firm, which was acquired by accounting and advisory giant KPMG a year ago, was founded in 1996 as a research agency with offices in Leeds and London. Following the takeover, the firm was combined with KPMG's Customer and Growth capability to create an advisory business offering a range of technology products including the Fizz reporting system, and with a continued focus on customer experience management.

Knight (pictured) joined in 2002 to coordinate international business development and lead customer strategy, research and technology for clients across a number of sectors. In 2011, he moved up to the role of Chief Commercial Officer, and he was one of four partners who oversaw the transformation of the business to a specialist in customer experience and technology.

Along with his new role, Knight is charged with expanding the KPMG Nunwood Customer Excellence Centre, and the further development of Fizz technology. Nigel Slater, KPMG's Head of Management Consulting, comments: 'Tim will play a crucial role to grow our customer experience expertise and help our clients improve the service they offer to their customers. He will integrate KPMG Nunwood's work into our wider management consulting practice, linking with the customer technology we provide, from digital and mobile analytics to CRM'.

At this stage, Rushfirth's next move is not known.
