BCG Partners with Mu Sigma for Big Data Offer

Management advisor the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has announced a partnership with data science specialist Mu Sigma to help clients using 'cutting-edge big data and analytics solutions' for business transformation.

The deal brings together Mu Sigma's 3,500 decision scientists and its 'Art of Problem Solving' methodologies with BCG's strategy, technology and analytics skills. The partners suggest clients will be able to:
  • 'Pursue a multiyear business transformation supported by waves of data analytics
  • Support a top-down, industry-hypothesis-driven strategy with data-driven decisions, and
  • Build a sustainable capacity for analytics and decision sciences within the organisation.

Rich Lesser, president and CEO of BCG, says the tie-up will allow BCG 'to provide clients with even more tools and capabilities to quickly identify the areas where digital efforts can produce a step change in performance and embed those capabilities in their business models'. Mu Sigma founder and Chairman Dhiraj Rajaram says companies wishing to compete and innovate in the new world of business require 'a sustained culture of learning, extreme experimentation, and interdisciplinary thinking powered by analytics and decision sciences', and believes the partnership 'will accelerate this transformation for clients'.

BCG, a private company with 85 offices in 48 countries, is online at www.bcg.com while Mu Sigma can be found at www.mu-sigma.com .
