New HR Leader for Nielsen

Nielsen has appointed Nancy Ramsey Phillips as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective next week. She joins from Broadcom Corporation where she was EVP and CHRO; and replaces Mary Liz Finn, who announced her retirement from Nielsen in September.

Phillips brings twenty years of experience in developing and aligning HR strategy with business needs. Prior to Irvine, CA-based Broadcom, which she leaves following the company's acquisition by Avago, she worked at Hewlett-Packard, leading the HR organization for the tech giant's 120,000-strong Enterprise Services business group. Earlier, she worked as Senior Director, HR at General Electric and was Chief HR Officer at Fifth Third Bank. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in English with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Delaware and a Juris Doctorate from Samford University.

CEO Mitch Barns says of the appointment: 'Nielsen will benefit from Nancy's experience across multiple industries, including technology, where change is rapid and competition for talent is fierce. Nielsen's talented, diverse organization of 40,000+ employees across 106 countries looks forward to her capable leadership'.
