ComRes Hires CEO and Plans Two New Practices

Westminster, London-based agency ComRes has appointed former Fujitsu executive Simon Carter as CEO, and says it will announce the launch of two new business practices later this month, a Faith Research Consultancy and an Internal Communications Practice.

Simon CarterCarter was the Japanese giant's VP & Head of Marketing for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, and previously held Board level and senior management positions at Thomas Cook, the Post Office, EDF Energy, Virgin and NatWest Bank. For the past twelve months, he has served as a Non-Executive Director of ComRes, giving him a good understanding of the business.

Chairman and founder Andrew Hawkins sayd the company is gearing up for an exciting year: 'during uncertain times, organisations need support and the best informed advice to help make difficult decisions. ComRes has been doing this for more than a decade, and in recognition of the unique circumstances that we are all faced with, we are making changes to better meet the needs of our clients - starting with a very senior hire to work with me in leading our business day to day'.
