Platform One Launches Multimedia Survey Builder

UK-based insights management specialist Platform One has launched a multimedia survey builder, which can be used by researchers and community managers with no survey scripting knowledge.

The firm was launched in 2015 by iD Factor founder Jon Gumbrell, Hall & Partners founder Mike Hall and survey software specialist Askia. Its platform collects qual, quant and multimedia feedback from an online community or member-based panel, and displays it in real-time via a multi-methodology dashboarding tool. Each research task-type behaves like an add-on module, enabling new data collection methods to be built according to demand, and then plugged straight into the core platform framework.

The platform now has fifteen data collection channels, and its new inbuilt survey tool makes multimedia questions (video, audio and image uploading/recording) available without the need for third party embedded plugin, as well as the standard question types with full multi-lingual capabilities. Video and audio files are machine transcribed, and human transcription is also available, with transcribed content then published to the dashboard and stored for filtering using key word search.
