Apartment Market Data Firm Axiometrics Acquired

In the US, real estate software and data analytics specialist RealPage has acquired apartment market data firm Axiometrics for an undisclosed sum. Axiometrics will join RealPage's MPF Research division.

Axiometrics surveys and researches properties in more than 500 apartment markets and submarkets, along with 680 colleges and universities nationwide. The firm offers insight reporting, feasibility studies and competitive monitoring, analyzing data by multiple variables such as asset class and age; specific competitive floor plans; and using historical data at an asset level.

As well as acquiring Axiometrics, RealPage has partnered with real estate sales transaction data provider Real Capital Analytics, and the latter's data will be merged with data from Axiometrics and MPF Research. Steve Winn (pictured), Chairman, CEO and founder of RealPage, says the buy 'furthers our goal to become the definitive source for accurate data intelligence regarding the acquisition, operation and disposition of every market-rate apartment in the US'.
