MFour Hires Clark as COO

In the US, mobile-first research tech company MFour has appointed former YP CTO Darren Clark as Chief Operating Officer, replacing co-founder Jeff Harrelson, who will now focus on partnerships and company expansion.

Darren ClarkMFour uses GPS technology to collect information at what it calls the 'point of emotion'; and has developed the Surveys On The Go app, providing access to an all-mobile panel. The firm's MFourDIY tool taps into a panel of more than one million respondents and allows users to design, program and launch their own surveys. Last year, the company added features to its DIY technology, to enable users to reach their respondents based on the apps they use, the make and model of their smartphones, and other characteristics.

Clark (pictured) joins from telephone directories publishing specialist YP, where as Chief Technology Officer for YP Marketing Solutions, he helped the business double digital advertising revenue. Prior to this, he was Chief Information Officer at AT&T Interactive; Vice President Product Management at ad and technology agency Spot Runner; VP of Professional Services at Yahoo!; Senior Director, Technical Operations at commercial search services company Overture; and System Administrator / Network Engineer at Ernst & Young.

In his new role, Clark will guide MFour as it expands its team, and introduces new products. CEO and founder Chris St. Hilaire comments: 'The hardest thing to do is scale a business and remain consistent with quality technology, product innovation, and client service. Darren will be instrumental in making sure we don't just grow our business, but that we increase our value to the clients who rely on us for the best technology and service'.
