Patient Sat Specialist SurveyVitals Makes CAHPS Buy

In Springtown, Texas, patient satisfaction study specialist SurveyVitals has acquired Novaetus, which administers 'Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems' (CAHPS) surveys. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Novi, Michigan-based Novaetus was founded in 2004 as a marketing and consulting company, before specializing in conducting CAHPS surveys. The firm is now one of 37 providers in the United States certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to administer these surveys.

As part of the deal, Novaetus founder Lori Moshier joins SurveyVitals as CAHPS Program Director, while all other Novaetus employees will remain in their current roles under the same organizational reporting structure. With the acquisition, SurveyVitals now serves 391 healthcare organizations and more than 16,000 providers, and operates across 38 states.
