Beckon Adds New CEO as Founder Moves to Customer Focus

US-based performance analytics company Beckon has appointed Bernardo de Albergaria as Chief Executive, allowing former CEO and co-founder Jennifer Zeszut to move to the role of Chief Customer Officer.

Jennifer ZeszutBeckon's enterprise software provides automated data management, comprehensive overviews of cross-channel marketing performance, and integrated campaign planning.

de Albergaria worked most recently as VP and GM of the collaboration product group at software development tools provider Atlassian, where he drove the growth and strategic direction of the collaboration product family, including Confluence and HipChat. Before this he worked at Citrix, in positions including VP and GM of SaaS products, collaboration offer, and global marketing and eCommerce division.

Beckon, which describes itself as 'The Source of Truth for Marketing', says the hire will help continue its rapid growth both globally and within top marketing verticals, including CPG, entertainment, and financial services. The company has recently added Focus Opportunity Fund to its investor base and closed a new funding round led by Venrock, adding to earlier rounds in 2014 and 2015.

Zeszut (pictured) says of the new arrival, 'Bernardo has run big, global, fast-growing software teams with tremendous success, and thats exactly what we need right now... This move strengthens our overall leadership team as we scale. And I get to increase my focus on our customers, ensuring that they come first in everything we do'.
