China Buy for WPP's Mirum

Digital agency group Mirum, part of WPP's J. Walter Thompson network, has agreed to acquire Chinese company 3Ti Solutions Inc.

3Ti was founded in 2005 and offers digital business strategy consulting, product design and development, in addition to software and mobile app development. Unaudited revenues for the calendar year 2016 were RMB 66.8m, and the firm currently employs around 100 staff in three offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Xi'an. On completion of the buy, the firm will be rebranded as Mirum in China.

Mirum was launched in 2015 year by the group's marcoms network J. Walter Thompson, and comprises eleven digital agencies (12 including 3Ti) spanning twenty countries and 46 offices, offering services across innovation, design, data, marketing and technology. Soon after launching, it acquired a majority stake in German full-service digital marketing agency RSK Group.

WPP says the buy will expand Mirum's service offering into China with an additional R&D capability aimed at developing proprietary programmes.
