Discuss.io Expands US Team
In the US, online qual firm Discuss.io has appointed RJ Scott as Senior Research Solutions Executive and Zuzana Žilková as Senior Account Manager. Both report to co-founder Jim Longo.
 The firm is based in Seattle, and provides an online platform for real-time qual research and focus groups, using a massive pool of respondents and offering niche targeting of respondents. In May, it raised just over $5m in a Series A round of funding, for use in further developing its platform and expanding its engineering and sales teams.
Scott joins from full-service insights consultancy KNow Research, where he worked as a consultant, prior to which he spent five years at 20|20 Research, latterly as Senior Qualitative Consultant. Žilková previously worked as a social behavior change consultant, before which she spent seven years at Microsoft in product planning and program management roles.
Longo says the company should grow rapidly over the next few months. He comments: 'As we gear up for this, it is critical that we build a team of talented individuals, like Scott and Žilková. Both candidates have clearly demonstrated a fundamental curiosity for what makes consumers tick, and for how brands can connect with consumers in order to drive more effective business growth'.
