SPINS Hires Gillis to Head North America Retail Team

Health and wellness consumer insights agency SPINS has appointed Brian Gillis to lead its North America Retail team.

Brian GillisEstablished in 1995, SPINS provides market measurement information and insights on consumer trends in health and wellness. Gillis (pictured) joins from insights firm Symphony EYC, where he served as EVP and General Manager - Americas. Prior to this, he held a similar role at shopper data firm dunnhumby, where he spent nearly six years. Earlier, Gillis was Group Director of Retail Development at Nielsen, and spent twelve years client-side at General Mills, latterly as Director of Trade Marketing and Category Management.

In his new role, he is tasked with leading the Retail team to roll out SPINS' data-driven products and services to North American retailers. CEO Tony Olson says Gillis' team will enable retailers 'to not only understand their shoppers but engage them and deliver the valuable information that drives buying decisions in the ways shoppers want to receive it'.
