MARU Group Promotes Two to Executive Committee

MARU Group has promoted Maru/Matchbox executives Sarah Redford and Carlos Palacio to Group Chief People Officer and Group CIO, respectively, supporting its continued expansion across the UK and North America, and its recent acquisition of SynGro.

Sarah Redford and Carlos PalacioThe promoted pair join CEO Ged Parton, CTO Shane Wright and newly-appointed CFO Heather McRae on the Group Global Executive Committee.

Redford has more than nineteen years of Human Resources experience, and has overseen HR matters at Maru/Matchbox across teams in six North American cities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of British Columbia and a Human Resource Management Certificate from Ryerson University.

Palacio joined Maru/Matchbox last year and has focused on maximising the potential for impact of the firm's diverse team of remote and in-house staff. He holds a B.ASc. Systems and Computer Engineering from Universidad de los Andes and received his Masters' in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor.

Both promotees will assume their new Group level responsibilities immediately, and will combine them with remaining part of the core team at Maru/ Matchbox. Group CEO Ged Parton comments: 'During their time at Maru/Matchbox, Sarah and Carlos have been critical to the successful integration of the company into the Group and they both embody the values that we, as a Group, strive towards. We are delighted to welcome them to the Group Global Executive Committee'.
