Restaurant Analyst Fishbowl Hires Product Leader

Fishbowl, a customer engagement platform provider for the restaurant sector, has appointed tech entrepreneur Daniel Dreymann as Chief Product Officer.

The firm, which is based in Alexandria, VA with offices in Silicon Valley, Dallas, New York, the UK and India, pulls in structured and unstructured data from multiple sources including POS, e-mail clubs, mobile, online ordering and reservations, to help more than 70,000 restaurant locations understand and engage their customers. In January, the company was acquired by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG), which also currently owns IRI, Simmons, Hitwise and Connexity / Shopzilla, among others.

Dreymann (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience in product innovation and management, sales and marketing, business development, and customer engagement. Most recently, he co-founded Mowingo, which provided mobile solutions to engage customers, and drive loyalty and sales. Prior to this, he co-founded online commerce platform Goodmail Systems, where he built an online commerce platform which processed up to four billion transactions a month.
