GfK Operations Chief Departs

COO Alessandra Cama is leaving GfK, resigning with immediate effect after around two years as a member of the company's Management Board.

Alessandra CamaCama (pictured) has worked for the company in various management positions since 2011, and was promoted to the Board and the Group COO role in autumn 2015. Prior to this she was Regional COO APAC, Consumer Choices. Her resignation is by mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board of GfK.

The group appointed consumer goods industry exec Peter Feld as its new CEO in March, soon after the acquisition of a major stake by US-based private equity firm KKR, and has since then announced a number of arrivals and departures at senior level. Three representative of KKR joined in April, and in May Christian Bigatà Joseph replaced the departing Christian Diedrich as Chief Financial Officer. In July Dr. Gerhard Hausruckinger resigned from the company after seven years on the Management Board, and Christoph D. Erbenich joined as Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer. Earlier this week, new roles were created for Jutta Suchanek as Chief HR Officer and Benjamin Jones as CTO.

Ralf Klein-Bölting said on behalf of the Supervisory Board he chairs: 'I would like to thank Mrs. Alessandra Cama for her continuously constructive collaboration. For her personal and professional future, we would like to wish her all the best and every success'.

An announcement about her successor is expected soon.
