Confirmit Partners to Add SMS Options

Online survey pioneer Confirmit has announced a partnership with mobile messaging firm Infobip, offering enhanced international SMS capabilities and coverage to those engaged in research, customer experience and employee engagement programmes.

Infobip's SMS platform, which aims to create seamless mobile interactions between businesses and people, will be integrated with Confirmit's SMS Flex extension, within its Horizons platform, to provide coverage of 800 mobile networks in 190 countries, streamlining the design and deployment of SMS surveys.

Customers, panellists or employees will have the option to take part in a variety of short, personalised or branded SMS surveys, including One-way - an SMS message with a short URL link to an online mobile web survey; Two-way - where question and answer are both sent via SMS; a combination of these two options; or Keyword - where SMS surveys are initiated by participants sending a keyword from their phones.

Confirmit sees SMS as a complement to existing survey methods, for example allowing companies to send timely reminders to take part in online surveys; but says it also leads to increased survey invite open rates (98% average), and improved response rates (typically 30% or more) - as well as bringing in more basic mobile phones.

According to Terry Lawlor, EVP Product Management at Confirmit, 'most survey participants have their mobile phone with them at all times - even in situations when they might be considered 'offline' due to poor internet coverage or data roaming constraints. Approaching mobile users for feedback via their preferred method of communication, at any time, in any location, represents a real opportunity for market insights and customer experience professionals to understand consumers in new and insightful ways'.

Kevin Britt Country Manager UK and Ireland at Infobip adds: 'Asking for feedback 'in-the-moment' undoubtedly delivers far greater accuracy because you are engaging with participants immediately after the experience takes place. What's more, for customers who choose only to provide their mobile number as their point of contact, SMS is the only logical solution'.

With headquarters in Oslo, and offices including Grimstad, London, Moscow, New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Vancouver, and Yaroslavl, Confirmit is online at www.confirmit.com . Its new partner is at www.infobip.com .
