Kynetec Buys Market Probe Custom Research Units

Animal health and agriculture researcher Kynetec has acquired Market Probe Agriculture & Animal Health and Market Probe Europe. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dominique Vanmarsenille and Stephen HearnMarket Probe's core custom research business serves the agriculture and animal health industries, while Market Probe Europe works for other B2B and consumer clients in a wide range of sectors. The news follows the group's sale of its Asia Pacific arm to MRSS India in July.

The firm's 40 staff will now join Kynetec's global team of more than 600. The acquisition also adds operations in Belgium, increasing Kynetec's presence to 22 countries. Dominique Vanmarsenille, Country Manager for Market Probe Europe, says the takeover allows the company to expand its global footprint and provides access to new technologies for data collection, processing and delivery.

Kynetec CEO Stephen Hearn adds: 'The Market Probe team has an excellent reputation in executing long-term tracking projects. We are excited to add this enhanced capability to our business, providing a larger portfolio of market research tools for our clients. Additionally, the B2B and consumer services expertise and client portfolio will allow us to develop client partnerships and utilize our innovations in new, adjacent specialist markets'.
