New Leader for IAB Data Center

In New York, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has appointed Orchid Richardson as Vice President and Managing Director of its Data Center of Excellence. She replaces Dennis Buchheim, who is now General Manager of the IAB Tech Lab.

Orchid RichardsonThe center funds industry research to provide benchmarks and insights on data management; develops industry best practices, guidelines and standards on privacy; and creates educational materials for marketers and advertisers. Richardson (pictured) joins from publisher monetization and traffic platform 33Across, where she served as General Manager of Publisher and Media Solutions, leading global business strategy and development for the company and its publishing partners. Before this, she was Head of Digital Sales Operations at Hearst Magazines, and Senior Director of Digital Advertising Operations and Strategy at BET Networks, and she held management roles at several other digital companies.

In her new role, replacing Buchheim, Richardson will support the development of publisher-specific data and automation best practices, directing new industry benchmarks, and working closely with the IAB Tech Lab to update standards. She will also lead a series of education events, offering guidance on how to take full advantage of big data.
