NPD Strengthens US Technology Leadership

Retail data firm The NPD Group has announced a series of leadership appointments building on 'strong growth in the US technology sector'. Brad van Dillen and Kate Roe-Semyon become Presidents of Consumer and B2B Technology respectively, with Sean Roche reporting to van Dillen as VP.

Ian Hamilton continues as overall President of the group's US Technology sector, with van Dillen reporting to him. Roche takes the title of VP, NPD Consumer Technology, while Roe-Semyon's role is a new one.

van Dillen (pictured) previously led NPD's west coast technology business, and will now lead all client development and business development for Consumer Technology clients. He joined the company in 2007 when it acquired Current Analysis West, taking the role of Director of Business Development.

Roche was previously an Executive Director for the Consumer and B2B Technology practices, and will now focus entirely on the Consumer Technology business in the East Region, responsible for business and client development. Before joining the company he spent seventeen years in sales and management roles at IBM.

Roe-Semyon will build the company's brand in the B2B technology sector. She joined NPD in 2013 and spent three years in b2b technology before moving to a VP role in the Sports practice. Prior to joining NPD, she spent twenty years in technology, thirteen of them in sales and marketing positions in distribution with Tech Data Corporation; and seven with Lenovo, Iomega, and Buffalo Technology.
