Expansion Funds for Targeting Firm CaliberMind

In the US, B2B self-service data activation and audience targeting specialist CaliberMind has received a $3.2m seed round of financing, which it will use to expand its AI and machine learning capabilities and its marketing and sales functions. New VPs for Marketing and Sales have also been announced.

Raviv TurnerBased in Boulder, CO, the firm offers marketing data management and analytics solutions for B2B software companies to collect, analyze and activate data, and engage and target customers. According to CEO and co-founder Raviv Turner (pictured), the software acts as the 'digital brain and nervous system' by helping marketers move past the basics of data collection, enrichment and attribution.

New funding has been led by Newark Venture Partners and Buran VC, adding to previous investment from CEB (now part of Gartner), Salesforce and Oracle executives. Dan Borok, Managing Partner at Newark Venture Partners, says of the deal: 'B2B marketing is undergoing a major transformation; account-based strategies impose a new set of data requirements, and this type of end-to-end marketing and sales activation that CaliberMind enables is becoming the norm. We were impressed with CaliberMind's approach to this issue, the development of their advanced technology and enterprise-level team'.

CaliberMind has also announced that former Convercent EVP Marketing Chris Nixon is joining as Vice President of Marketing, and Eric Westerkamp, former VP Sales Cloud at OpenText, is joining as Vice President of Sales.
