A Thousand New Jobs Planned at Cvent

Event management technology specialist Cvent, whose offer includes online survey technology, says it intends to hire more than 1,000 people globally in the coming year.

Sold two years ago for around $1.65 billion to affiliates of private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, the company enjoyed a strong 2017 and has 'several thousand new customers': it currently employs just over 3,000 people and serves 25,000 customers worldwide.

The recruitment drive will fuel future growth, and the firm will take more than 140,000 square feet of additional office space worldwide, more than half of it in its headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA which will now total 200,000 sq ft. US offices in Austin, Boston, Atlanta, Portland, Dallas, Draper (Utah) will grow their headcount, as will Fredericton (Canada) and offices in London, Singapore, Melbourne and New Delhi. Cvent also plans to open offices in Dubai and Germany later this year in order meet global demand for its event and hospitality cloud platforms.
