CX Specialist Hero Buys Analytics Firm MaassMedia

Customer experience agency Hero Digital has acquired MaassMedia, an analytics consultancy whose services include software implementation, data visualization and analysis, and personalization. Terms were not disclosed.

Aaron MaassHero Digital works with companies including Salesforce, Sephora and Microsoft to improve customer experience, through services including strategy, design, content and analytics.

MaassMedia was established in 2009 by Aaron Maass (pictured), now its CEO, and is based in Philadelphia, PA. Maass, who serves on the Board of Directors of the Digital Analytics Association, will join the leadership team of Hero Digital and the companies will integrate immediately.

Hero says the but strengthens its data capabilities and 'helps meet the growing demand for customer experiences fueled by data'. According to CEO David Kilimnik, 'Insights gained through customer data will be the fuel of brand transformations'. He adds of his new associates: 'Aaron and his team are obsessed with data and guiding clients to true insights... We are thrilled to welcome them to Hero'.

Maass himself says the move is 'an exciting step forward' with benefits for clients and employees, adding: 'Our focus has always been to help our clients be more data-driven in their approach to understanding their customers. With Hero, we'll be able to activate those insights in entirely new ways'.
