New Lower Manhattan Home for Kantar NYC Staff

Kantar workers are to join those from fellow WPP firm GroupM and move into new offices at 3 World Trade Center. 4,000 of the marcoms giant's New York-based staff will be co-located over thirteen floors of the building, with the first from GroupM moving in July, and from Kantar in September.

Eric SalamaWPP, which in total has more than 10,000 people working in the New York metropolitan area, is the bulding's 'anchor tenant', leasing 700,000 square feet. The Group embarked on a strategy of co-location of workers with an office in Chicago in 2005, and now has North American campuses in NYC at 3 Columbus Circle, the Chocolate Factory on the West Side, 200 Fifth Avenue and 466 Lexington Avenue; as well as locations in Dearborn, MI and Toronto. There are also campuses or lease commitments in six European cities, three in Latin America and five in Asia Pacific.

WPP COO Mark Read says the campuses are 'a very effective way to foster collaboration so that clients have simpler access to the best of our talent'. Kantar CEO Eric Salama (pictured) comments: 'Physical environments are so important to our performance and culture. It's such a privilege to be able to design this environment from scratch, with energy, collaboration and client impact at its heart'.

The Kantar contingent will include employees from Kantar Consulting, Kantar Health, Kantar Media, Kantar Millward Brown, Kantar TNS, Kantar Worldpanel and Lightspeed.
