Promotions for Ipsos in Asia Pacific

Ipsos has appointed Katharine Zhou as its MD in Singapore, effective today. She succeeds Joseph Chua, who will take on a new leadership role for Ipsos Asia Pacific, responsible for growing the Healthcare and Automotive businesses.

Katharine ZhouChua led the Ipsos Healthcare business in Singapore from 2009 to 2015 prior to taking on the Country Manager's role. Zhou moves up from working as APAC MD for the group's Innovation and Marketing research specialist unit. She began her career with Ipsos in Singapore in 2003 before relocating to China in 2007, and returned to Singapore in 2012 where she first led the APAC Innovation business.

In her new role, Zhou will report directly to Christophe Cambournac, Ipsos CEO AMEA, who comments: 'Katharine has been instrumental in Ipsos' growth in Asia Pacific in the recent years. She has demonstrated success as both a business and people leader with her tireless dedication to clients and the people she works with. I am confident that Katharine and the team will continue the momentum of the business established under Joseph Chua's leadership'.

Zhou herself says her new role is 'undoubtedly the most exciting' of her many roles at Ipsos over fifteen years, adding: 'The market research industry is changing, right along with our clients. The dynamism of this digital era is changing our society and lives of consumers dramatically too'.
