J.D. Power Names Tech, Media and Telecoms Leader

In the US, insights and analytics firm J.D. Power has hired entertainment technologist Ian Greenblatt to lead its Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice.

Ian GreenblattEstablished in 1968 and now owned by 'global alternative investments firm' XIO, J.D. Power is headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA, and has offices serving North/South America, Asia Pacific and Europe. Greenblatt (pictured) joins from his own boutique consulting practice, through which he provided strategy and senior-level guidance to public companies, and helped public and private investors, private equity and hedge funds invest capital in the cable and broadcast businesses. He previously served as VP, Strategy & Business Development at set-top box and cable modem technology firm ARRIS, before which he was responsible for content strategy and business development at Google division Motorola Mobility. In addition, Greenblatt's start-ups include virtual cable operator Zattoo, and Broadbus, a provider of computer systems for delivering TV on-demand.
