ABN Impact Hires Exec Director for Hong Kong

Asia-based insight community specialist ABN Impact has appointed former CrowdEmotion MD Joe Wheller as Executive Director, Hong Kong.

As well as Hong Kong, the firm also has offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Bangkok, Jakarta, Seoul and the Philippines. Wheller (pictured) joins from UK-based emotion artificial intelligence specialist CrowdEmotion, where he served as Managing Director. Prior to this, he was Head of Quant at Relish Research; Research Director, Future Insights at ICM Unlimited; and MD at marketing and brand research consultancy Cimigo, based in Vietnam. He began his career at the BBC World Service as a Research Manager; before moving to Synovate in Hong Kong, where he later worked at Nielsen and Research International/TNS. During the latter part of his career, Wheller has helped clients develop understanding of customers' thinking using techniques such as passive metering, eye-tracking and online communities.

In his new role, Wheller will work closely with the senior leadership team in Hong Kong, which includes Larry Wu, Ivy Cheung and Eva Lai.
