In New York, market research and political polling specialist Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates (PSB) has appointed Mike Chuter as Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Curtis Freet, who left in June to travel and spend time with his family.

Mike ChuterFounded in 1975, and acquired by WPP in 2001, PSB provides research-based consultancy to help corporate, entertainment and political clients hone their messaging and communications strategies. The firm is now part of WPP's BCW Group.

Chuter joins with a 25 year agency background. Most recently, he co-founded social giving engine Thankful, prior to which he co-founded and spent twelve years with data-driven loyalty specialist CUBED, which was sold to Publicis four years ago. Earlier, he was Head of Direct & Digital Marketing at M&C Saatchi; Operations Director at OgilvyInteractive; and Account Director at HHCL & Partners.

In his new role, Chuter is responsible for the global growth and development of the business across its Corporate, Political, Media and Entertainment practices. He replaces Freet, who left in the summer after nearly thirteen years in senior roles at the company, and seven years at Microsoft.

Chuter reports to Donna Imperato, Global CEO of BCW, who comments: 'Mike is exceptionally well-suited to lead PSB given his deep experience interpreting data through both analytical and creative lenses and in driving integrated communications programs rooted in analytics. Mike is the right person to help PSB advise on holistic creative communications solutions that leverage the firm's expertise in primary research and behavioral, social and other third-party data analysis'.
