Screen Engine Buys TDG

In the United States, TV, film and video research firm Screen Engine/ASI has acquired media research consultancy The Diffusion Group (TDG).

Kevin GoetzAccording to web site www.rapidtvnews.com , TDG will operate as The Diffusion Group, a Screen Engine/ASI Company. Company founder Michael Greeson will continue as President of TDG and add the title / role of SVP of Screen Engine/ASI. His company was established in 2004 and offer subscription and syndicated products, custom services and quant research for the broadcast and digital media world.

Screen Engine/ASI's film research capabilities include recruited audience screenings, positioning studies, film focus groups, ad testing, and proprietary methods TrailerTrak, competitive tracking study Tracktion, and PostTrak, offered in partnership with Comscore. Its services for television clients include multi-mode testing and in-home content testing. TDG describes itself as a virtual 'think tank' comprising technology developers, consumer marketers, strategists and social theorists.

Greeson says the deal is an exciting opportunity for TDG, adding: 'Screen Engine/ASI is renowned for its top-flight TV, film and video research, and I'm looking forward to being part of this stellar team'.
