Accenture Buys Amsterdam's Storm Digital
Management consultancy Accenture has acquired Amsterdam-based data-driven digital marketing agency Storm Digital, which will become part of its Accenture Interactive business. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The company was founded in 2006 and specializes in creating digital customer experiences for Dutch companies and brands. Its capabilities include data collection, audience analytics, social and programmatic advertising services, and content creation. The firm has around 90 employees located in Amsterdam and Groningen, and these will join Accenture Interactive as part of the deal.
Accenture says the acquisition expands its presence in the Dutch market, and along with recently acquired US-based Adaptly, Storm's digital marketing and media services will strengthen its Programmatic Services offer. This is Accenture Interactive's second buy in the Netherlands, following its 2016 takeover of Amsterdam-based mobile specialist Mobgen, which offers advanced analytics, mobile strategy and usability testing.
Storm Digital CEO Viktor van der Wijk (pictured) says joining Accenture Interactive enhances the firm's offering with international, scalable digital solutions. Ron Vrijmoet, Head of Accenture Interactive, Netherlands, adds: 'The Storm Digital team and their robust capabilities will complement and enhance our presence in the Netherlands and inject a greater level of data-driven media experiences that we can deliver to our clients'.
