Pacific Magazines Launches 'Pi' Insights Division

In Australia, Seven West Media-owned (SWM) Pacific Magazines has merged its Strategy and Insights teams as part of a larger restructure, to create a new division called Pacific Insights (Pi).

Rebecca Alexander-HeadPacific Magazines' portfolio of titles includes Better Homes & Gardens and Marie Claire. Commercial Director Nicole Bence says the restructure will drive deeper and more effective client and agency partnerships, and better tap into insights and data, expanding the publisher's massive footprint across digital, print and SWM television assets which reach and engage with 18.4 million people every month.

The new Pi division will act as an audience intelligence consultancy, helping drive business growth through the use of relevant data, research and audience insight. Pi is led by Rebecca Alexander-Head (pictured), who has moved into the position of Director of Strategy and Insights. Earlier in her career, she worked for alcoholic drinks brand Diageo as Head of Insights & Planning and at WPP's Kantar Millward Brown as Account Insight Manager.

Commenting on the changes, Bence said: 'This restructure will better support us as we strengthen our existing relationships and diversify into new revenue streams, underpinned by insights and data. Elevating our audience intelligence and advertising creative capabilities will provide even more engaging, innovative and meaningful ways for marketers to connect their brands with our audiences'.
