Stead Adds Clarivate CEO Role as Nadler Moves On

Innovation insights provider Clarivate is extending the role of Executive Chairman Jerre Stead to include Chief Executive Officer. He will take up the position on June 30th, replacing Jay Nadler who becomes a member of the Board of Directors.

Jerre SteadClarivate uses insights and analytics-based services and content to help clients develop new ideas. In January, the company merged with Churchill Capital Corp, an acquisition vehicle led by former IHS Markit boss Stead (pictured), in a deal which values Clarivate at $4.2bn. As CEO, Stead will focus on accelerating growth and profitability for Clarivate, while Nadler will serve as an advisor to the company until the end of the year.

Stead, who previously combined Chairman and CEO roles at IHS Inc. and then at IHS Markit, says of the changes: 'We thank Jay for his strong leadership of Clarivate during such an important period for the company. He has been instrumental in developing and executing its initial strategy, building a strong, new leadership team and transitioning to a stand-alone company. I am excited to join this talented executive team as we continue to identify and act upon the multitude of new opportunities for growth and profitability across our global operations'.
