Winsight Strengthens Senior Executive Team

In the US, business research, news, trade shows, and networking events provider Winsight has hired former Gartner exec Kurt Reisenberg for its newly created role of President, while Alanna Young has been promoted to President of its Technomic research business.

Winsight is a B2B information company serving the restaurant and non-commercial foodservice, convenience and petroleum retailing and grocery industries. The firm's Technomic consultancy provides research, insights and strategic consultancy for the food and beverage sectors.

Reisenberg will join on September 3 after working at Gartner, where he served as SVP, Global Business Sales, having previously been Chief Commercial Officer at best practice and talent management insights firm CEB (acquired by Gartner two years ago). In his new role, Reisenberg will oversee the Media & Events, Technomic and Exhibitions divisions.

Young, Winsight's former Chief Operating Officer, joined four years ago to develop a data business for the company. She previously worked at Hanley Wood's real estate information firm Metrostudy, where she led research and membership services for twelve years. After Winsight's acquisition of Technomic, she moved to the corporate role of COO, working closely with that business, as well as Winsight's media and event properties.
