Geronimo Buys Aus Analytics firm Data Hatch

In Australia, mobile customer experience specialist Geronimo has acquired data science and analytics company Data Hatch. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Stephen Wright and Michael ElithFounded in 2017 by Stephen Wright and Michael Elith, Sydney-based Data Hatch is a data discovery and action consultancy with a foundation in location-based intelligence, and specialising in predictive analytics. Geronimo says the buy allows it to further enhance the mobile customer experience by offering data analysis, attribution, customer segmentation, data visualisation, location intelligence, site analytics, customer forecast and modelling capabilities.

Wright, who along with Elith now joins the Geronimo leadership team, says the acquisition brings data science and analytics expertise to Geronimo, combining consumer data with behavioural economics, creativity and technology, to create customer experiences.

Matt Hunt, founder and CEO at Geronimo, adds: 'We've been growing our relationship with Data Hatch over the past three years and when we saw their proprietary data platform we knew they were at the leading edge of mobile data intelligence. They've mapped the majority of Australia's households, so we can now deliver strategies based on where consumers live and work, how they travel and their interests. The marketing and media applications are extraordinary, helping drive operational efficiencies and sales growth for companies and brands'.
