dataSpring Acquired by Intage

Tokyo-based panels and technology company dataSpring has been acquired by marketing research and consulting services business Intage Holdings. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Tomohiro Hosono and Noriaki IshizukaFormerly known as Research Panel Asia (RPA), and acquired in 2015 by Marketing Applications in a stock swap, dataSpring offers solutions for market researchers, including online and mobile sample in Asia, survey software tools, and 24/7 data collection operations. The acquisition will take full take effect in February 2020, helping dataSpring to 'move forward to become the number one Asian sample provider globally', according to CEO Tomohiro Hosono.

Noriaki Ishizuka, President and Representative Director of Intage Holdings, adds: 'The research industry in Asia is shifting towards the online and mobile domains, and the demands are rapidly changing. This new company would lead the change in the industry and innovation in Asia. It will be the core function of Intage global business to take leadership in Asia and beyond'.
