Acosta Promotes for EVP, Business Intelligence Role

In the US, CPG industry-focused sales and marketing agency Acosta has promoted long-time company exec Colin Stewart to the role of Executive Vice President, Business Intelligence.

Colin StewartAcosta provides a range of outsourced sales, marketing and retail merchandising services for CPG (consumer packaged goods) firms throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Stewart (pictured) joined in 1999 as part of the firm's acquisition of the food broker Kelley-Clarke, where he had spent fifteen years, latterly as Corporate Vice President of Marketing, working in category management and analytics.

During his time at Acosta, Stewart has helped it build analytics capabilities, including ForeSite, and predictive analytics tools which the company rolled out earlier this year. He also helped set up the firm's Insights team, known today as Acosta Strategic Advisors, which provides clients and customers with growth strategy, custom shopper insights and advanced analytics services; and he established analytics centers of excellence, which provide shopper insights, thought leadership and analytic tools, and produce thousands of analytic projects for clients. In addition, Stewart initiated The Why? Behind The Buy annual report, which is now entering its 11th consecutive year of publication.
