New President for Australian MR Body AMSRO

In Australia, the Association of Market and Social Research Organisations (AMSRO) has elected Enhance Research CEO George Zdanowicz as its new President, succeeding Engine MD Craig Young.

George ZdanowiczAMSRO works in partnership with its company members, plus privacy authorities, business, government and the community to protect and promote the industry and uphold ethical and privacy standards in market and social research. Zdanowicz (pictured) has spent thirteen years at Enhance, the past nine as CEO, having joined as COO. Earlier, he worked for Optus as Manager Market Strategy & Research. He was previously Treasurer on AMSRO's executive committee, and he served as Chair of the AMSRS Queensland committee.

He is joined on the AMSRO leadership team by Marc L'Huillier, Partner in Advisory at EY as Vice President; Simon Wake, CEO Ipsos Australia as Secretary, and Sarah Wrigley, founder and Director of Gundabluey Research, as Treasurer. AMSRO also welcomed as a new 'general member' Sarah Wrigley, Principal of Wallis Market and Social Research, who joins continuing general members Craig Young; and Rob McLachlan who is CEO of the Data Management Investment Group, WPPAuNZ.

Commenting on his new role, Zdanowicz says: 'One of AMSRO's key goals for 2020 is taking a leadership role on the responsible use of data. Ethical behaviour, independent certification and adherence to privacy law are the three pillars that underpin AMSRO member organisations' compliance. As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that trust is maintained in research, AMSRO has Australia's only industry-specific Australian Privacy Principles privacy code, which is fast becoming the benchmark and we will continue to ensure it is fit for purpose'.
