Adjust Hires 'Coalition Against Ad Fraud' Head

Mobile measurement and fraud prevention specialist Adjust has appointed Ville Mikkola as Head of its Coalition Against Ad Fraud (CAAF), the industry-wide alliance the firm set up to tackle ad fraud.

Ville MikkolaFounded in Berlin in 2012, Adjust provides analytics and measurement of more than 25,000 mobile apps worldwide, as well as fraud prevention and cyber security solutions. Last year, the company raised $227m in a new round of funding, to further develop its product suite and to expand its presence in new and existing regions.

Mikkola (pictured) joins in Berlin to lead CAAF, whose group of industry partners have pledged to tackle mobile fraud through the development of solutions that benefit all stakeholders affected by fraudulent traffic, create standards and tools to actively fight fraud, and educate the industry as a whole. Most recently, he served as Director of Network Operations at adtech firm Glispa, and as MD for Europe at mobile ad network YeahMobi. He also co-founded a casual gaming company, TreasureHunt, which worked with NBCUniversal and was recently acquired by Huuuge Games.
