Trax and Snooper Launch ANZ Store Auditing Solution

Retail and consumer goods image recognition and analytics firm Trax has partnered with in-store data and shopper insights platform Snooper, to provide brands in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) with a new store auditing solution which combines image recognition and crowdsourcing.

Trax, which recently acquired retail services platform Survey.com and in-store, shelf monitoring solution Qopius, uses computer vision and machine learning to convert shelf images into real-time insights. Snooper connects directly to a community of 75,000 shoppers in Australia and New Zealand, to help CPGs and retailers gain insights into promotion effectiveness, pricing optimization, competitor benchmarking, planogram execution and real-time on-shelf availability.

Through this partnership, CPG brands can tap into Snooper's community of shoppers, which acts as an extension to the traditional field team, combined with Trax's computer vision platform. This will enable brands to collect and analyse real-time data of retail execution in-store. Aaron Eccleston, Country Manager, Australia & New Zealand at Trax, said that through the partnership, brands can identify performance gaps and take corrective actions in-store for issues such as 'out of stocks' and compliance.
