Clarivate Opens Malaysia Business Hub

Innovation insights firm Clarivate Analytics has announced the launch of a Global Business Center in Penang, Malaysia, to be led by VP Shankar Nagalingam. Two more such centres are planned, for London and Chandler, Arizona.

Clarivate AnalyticsClarivate's portfolio of product and service development solutions includes the Web of Science, Cortellis, Derwent, CompuMark, MarkMonitor and Techstreet. Traded on the NYSE, the firm employs more than 5,500 in 40 countries worldwide, with Asian presence in China, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

The new Penang Global Business Center is located at GBS[at]Mahsuri, Bayan Baru, and will become the primary center for Clarivate shared services in Asia, housing around 350 employees whose recruitment has already started.

Nagalingam brings more than 26 years delivering global shared services operations, HR and talent management strategies, including previous work as global lead for HR Shared Services Operations with IHS Markit; and earlier in talent acquisition and human capital management in other multinational corporations in Malaysia.
