Publicis Adds Epsilon CEO Role for Farouk

Global marketing group Publicis has appointed Adrian Farouk as ANZ Chief Executive Officer of its data company Epsilon, in addition to his existing position as ANZ CEO of marketing and technology agency Digitas.

Adrian FaroukPublicis acquired Epsilon last year, in a deal valued at nearly $4 billion. The firm offers a broad range of data-driven marketing solutions including predictive modeling, proprietary data, customer database technologies, and a full range of direct and digital agency solutions; and employs around 9,000 people, including 3,700 data scientists, and 2,000 technology delivery experts based in Bangalore, India.

Farouk (pictured) has more than twenty years of experience in areas including user experience, strategy, eCommerce, consumer research, analytics and measurement and client service. He joined Digitas in early 2019, having previously been MD of Publicis-owned digital marketing agency LBi in Australia; and earlier spent nearly nine years at digital communications and innovation consultancy group Deepend, rising to Group Strategy Director.

In his new role, Farouk will lead Epsilon's local operations, with offices based in Sydney and Melbourne. Michael Rebelo, Publicis ANZ CEO, comments: 'We are very fortunate to be able to look within Publicis Groupe and tap into Adrian's diverse experience. As a digital marketing leader, Adrian spearheaded the launch of Digitas in the Australian market eight years ago, growing it from the ground up to become one of the country's most reputable marketing and technology agencies. I'm confident that Adrian will be able to bring that same deep understanding of data and technology to Epsilon'.
