Médiamétrie Promotes for New Strategy Leadership Role

French audience measurement agency Médiamétrie has promoted Estelle Duval to the position of Director of Strategy, in a new department created to support the analysis of media markets and content consumption. She will also oversee the company's overall strategic plan.

Estelle DuvalMédiamétrie was established in 1985 and measures audiences for TV, radio, computer, smartphone and tablet, cinema and cross-media in France and abroad. Earlier this month, the firm acquired the daily SVoD barometer, previously operated by NPA Conseil in partnership with Harris Interactive.

Duval (pictured) joined the company in 2006, after positions at Greenfield Online and Nielsen. She initially served as Marketing and Development Director of the Médiamétrie//NetRatings subsidiary, before taking charge of the Internet Department, and more recently, running the Data Department. In her new role, and as a member of the group's executive committee, she will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring of Médiamétrie's new strategic plan, while continuing to lead on data strategy.

Commenting on Duval's promotion, Chairman and CEO Yannick Carriou said: 'Médiamétrie is undergoing a fundamental and formal transformation to better support the market. The whole company has been tasked with thinking about the measurements needed in the future, and we required the talent to orchestrate the multiple projects, both internal and external, that will need to be carried out simultaneously.
