RyanCap Launches Foxcatcher Marketing Data Business

In Australia, recently formed ad and marcoms holding group RyanCap has launched a marketing data and technology business called Foxcatcher, with former Dentsu Aegis exec David Gaskill at the helm.

David GaskillRyanCap, which was set up in June by former Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ CEO Simon Ryan, focuses on digital marketing, data and technology businesses - planning to both launch its own brands and acquire and integrate other companies into the group. In July, it launched data and analytics-led digital marketing and media agency RyvalMedia, then a month later, it acquired Melbourne-based digital agency JBZ Digital.

The firm says its new business, Foxcatcher, has been created with a focus on customer data, digital convergence, aligning addressable media with CRM, DTC, and eCommerce outcomes. In addition, Foxcatcher will include custom-built marketing automation software and trading platforms; and technology enablement products.

Gaskill (pictured) joins Foxcatcher as Managing Director from audience targeting platform Audience360, where he served as Head of Product. Prior to this, he was National Data Strategy Lead at Dentsu, and Head of Trading at AE Capital, where he specialised in using data science and algorithms to drive investment strategies. In his new role, Gaskill will be responsible for leading and growing Foxcatcher's data and martech capability.

Commenting on the launch, Ryan said: 'In a time of heavy social, business and digital disruption, we must evolve and look for new ways to add value and sustainable growth for clients. Streamlining tech and data enablement are part of the solution making it easier for clients to compete in a transforming marketplace driven by a digital leap forward and unprecedented circumstances this year.'
